Wavensmere Homes Launches a Preferential Loyalty Scheme

James Dickens and Olivia Smith of Wavensmere Homes launch Clique

Wavensmere Homes has launched a preferential service for existing customers who have purchased two or more of its homes to date. Clique – a fee-free membership platform – has already amassed 500 members.

Established in 2015, the multi-award winning Birmingham-headquartered housebuilder handed over the keys to 522 homes during 2023, and recently hit the major milestone of 1,200 completed homes since its inception. The business and its associated SPVs are on track to achieve a £115m turnover during 2024, with a further £1bn of new homes due to be launched, or in planning.

The roll-out of the Clique platform comes ahead of Wavensmere’s sales launches for three new schemes located across Derby – delivering circa 550 houses and apartments – and the firm’s major development opportunities in Cheltenham and Wolverhampton. Qualifying members will benefit from priority release notifications, pre-launch pricing, the first choice of off-plan plots, access to exclusive mortgage products offering preferential rates, a dedicated sales relationship manager, and tenant benefits from the point of completion.

As we approach Wavensmere Homes’ 10th year, we are amazed at the loyalty so many of our customers have shown. They keep in touch with us, follow planning updates, share our excitement for upcoming development launches, and enthusiastically ask for first dibs. The launch of Clique is inspired by them. It’s our way of formalising the gratitude we have for our existing customers.

“We’ve put considerable time and investment into this project. The recent appointment of Olivia Smith into the newly created role of Private Client Relationship Manager has enabled us to add a highly experienced dedicated resource to our sales team. As with private banking and wealth management, Olivia will be offering the best level of preferential service.

Clique will come into its own during the coming weeks and months when the first homes are launched at the five major Midlands schemes in our immediate pipeline. Ahead of that, we are currently speaking with people who are in the very early stages of creating an investment portfolio. Only customers who have already purchased homes from Wavensmere will be eligible for the benefits of membership and the opportunity to secure the best possible returns.

James Dickens, Managing Director of Wavensmere Homes

Wavensmere Homes is currently constructing the £106m Belgrave Village development in central Birmingham and the £130m Barrelman’s Point scheme on the Shotley Peninsula in Suffolk. The firm has also become one of Derby’s most prominent residential developers, with its £175m multi-award-winning Nightingale Quarter heralded as one of the finest regeneration and restoration assets in the region. The former Derbyshire Royal Infirmary on London Road – which had laid derelict for a decade – is in the final phase of being transformed into a vibrant new community, including over 900 houses and apartments.

Late last year, the firm received the green light from Amber Valley Borough Council for the £22m redevelopment of Milford Mills, which overlooks the River Derwent, located between Belper and Duffield in north Derbyshire. 69 new homes will be delivered on the historic site, which is within the Derwent Valley Mills UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Wavensmere’s £75m Friar Gate Goods Yard redevelopment in Derby city centre, received planning committee approval in April 2024. The 276 houses and apartments will be available for occupation from 2026. The quality specification is a fully-fitted turnkey package, with market leading ESG credentials. Each house will have an EV car charging port, together with an air source heat pump and solar PV panels to generate green energy.

The company has also submitted plans for the redevelopment of one of the final plots of vacant land within Derby’s newly revitalised Cathedral Quarter. 195 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments are proposed for the Full Street site, within a redesigned finely detailed u-shaped nine-storey red brick building.

Wavensmere Homes and BBS Capital have submitted a full planning application to Cheltenham Borough Council for the redevelopment of the North Place surface car park, located within the town’s Central Conservation Area. 153 houses and apartments are proposed for Arkle Court, which will sensitively enhance the street scene alongside the Grade II* listed St Margaret’s Terrace.

The company has also recently unveiled detailed plans and computer generated images of the £150m proposals to redevelop Wolverhampton’s Canalside South – a former industrial site benefiting from frontage onto the Wyrley & Essington Canal and the Wolverhampton Branch of the Birmingham Main Line Canal. Over 500 eco-focused homes and a range of commercial amenities are proposed for the 17.5-acre site – one of the largest city centre residential development opportunities in the Midlands.

Wavensmere Homes’ well-amenitised locations have the added benefit of the range of on-site communal facilities the housebuilder delivers for residents, such as co-working offices, screening rooms, community gardens, and fitness and play spaces.

Wavensmere Homes has further projects across middle England in the immediate pipeline, with around 3,500 new homes either under construction or in planning.
