A Hat-trick of New Appointments to Drive Expansion
At Wavensmere Homes, we have made a trio of appointments to expand our Birmingham-based in-house team, as we announce we have 3,500 new homes either under construction, or in planning.
Fionn Dolan joins the team as Marketing Manager, Edward Bate has been recruited as a Technical Manager, while Rebecca Perrens joins in the newly created role of Assistant Sales Manager.
James Dickens, Managing Director of Wavensmere Homes, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Fionn, Ed, and Rebecca to the team. We will be announcing a handful of new site acquisitions over the course of this year, so the timing is right to invest in the expansion of the team. These three new positions have been planned to strengthen the Technical, Sales, and Marketing departments.
“Aside from our new projects, five phases of the £170m Nightingale Quarter in Derby city centre are currently under construction simultaneously, to try and meet the intense buyer demand. During the summer months, we will also be welcoming the first residents to the £105m Belgrave Village development in Birmingham, and to our £130m Barrelman’s Point scheme on the Shotley Peninsula.
“Our keen focus on complex regeneration projects sits well with the government’s ‘brownfield first’ stance on housebuilding, so we are pushing forward with our national expansion plans at a time when others in the industry are facing prolonged planning and pre-construction delays.
Edward Bate is a Civil Engineer who joins Wavensmere Homes’ Technical department with 10 years’ industry experience. Edward joins from Miller Homes, where he was a Senior Engineer, managing large live and upcoming residential projects. Prior to that, he was an Engineer for the Midlands office of CALA Homes, and previously an Assistant Engineer for Taylor Wimpey Midlands.
Fionn Dolan has joined Wavensmere Homes from Dapa Atelier and Interiors, where she also held the position of Marketing Manager. Prior to that, she was a Content Executive for Armac Martin. She has six years’ experience and is skilled at creating social content and delivering marketing campaigns and assets.
Rebecca Perrens joins from McCarthy Stone, where she was based for six years in Sales and Customer Support roles. Prior to that, she was a Sales Adviser for Persimmon Homes. She has over 10 years of experience and will be assisting Wavensmere Homes’ Sales department, with a focus on Belgrave Village and Barrelman’s Point.
Edward Bate, Technical Manager for Wavensmere Homes, said: “Having spent my career to date working for major housebuilders, I am really pleased to have the opportunity to progress my career with Wavensmere Homes. There are some very exciting schemes in the planning stages that I am looking forward to working on – at both the pre-construction stage and throughout the live development process.”
