January – Wavensmere Homes
January has been a key month in sales for Wavensmere Homes.
As we welcome in the New Year, we reflect on the resilience the housing market has shown over the last 12 months. According to Nationwide, house prices rose by 0.8% in December and 7.3% in total in 2020.
With this, January has been a busy one for the whole team and workforce onsite. Our priority is to meet key milestones, come rain or snow.
This month, we met with significant challenges due to unprecedented weather conditions. We give our huge thanks to M. Lambe Construction for working tirelessly to meet deadlines.
Here is what’s been going on across our developments.
Nightingale Quarter, Derby
Due to such high demand, we released five additional houses to Phase One. We are thrilled to announce that they sold within a week. A total of 10 houses were sold in January.
Housing progress
Plots 1- 19 are all connected to water, electric and gas mains services.
Plots 1 – 5 are decorated and complete with fitted kitchens. Base tarmac to driveways, fencing and commissioning of these plots is being undertaken this week with floor laying planned to start next week.
Plots 6 -12 are in the latter stages of second fixing with decorators looking to start in these plots shortly.
Plots 13 – 19 are now plastered and are currently being 2nd fixed with kitchen installations planned.
Phase Two information will be released in due course and will be ready August 2021.
Pepper Pot South
January has seen significant progress to Pepper Pot South. You may have seen the video we released last week exploring the progress, which you can view below.
Specifically, extension brickwork and stud work are complete. We worked closely with Derby City Council to ensure the most sympathetic brick was selected to compliment the original structure.
The Forge, Digbeth
The last five notices have been served, meaning The Forge is complete. Practical Completion is due end of February.
Crocketts Lane, Smethwick
One of the last two apartments sold in January. Leaving just the final property available to buy. Click here for more information.
